Hotaru

She was sitting in the pet store when I went to go pick up fish. She was all alone and she was so desperate for attention, I loved her at first sight. Someone had just picked up her sister and I couldn’t stand to see her alone. I drove home everyday from work so excited to see her face greet me as I walked into the door. She always followed me everywhere I would go, and when I looked down at her she would just meow for me to hold her. She kept my lap warm every night. I will miss her keen eye for my necklaces, she loved to chew on them so. Its quiet without you. Its the little things you miss the most and take for granted. I know now she is at peace now and she will always be in my thoughts. I love you Hotaru. I miss you.
